A stele in the form of the Saint Sophia Cathedral at the entrance to Vologda
The height of the structure of 10,200 meters and its unconventional nature posed a number of technological challenges to its creators. Flat elements of complex shape are located at a distance of 100 mm from each other. Execution of the stele of stainless steel requires the use of technology 3D laser cutting parts of complex shape. The monument has a high warping, asymmetrically deforming under wind loading. This is why it was very difficult to perform parallel laser welding of the elements, which form the basis of the entire structure. Economical cutting, energy saving and no need for finishing operations significantly reduce the cost of laser metal cutting per meter.
Bathtub made of titanium
Вath, made of alloy BT1-0 with a thickness of 3 mm, the diameter of the bath 1,250 x 6m. Titanium has high chemical resistance in many corrosive environments, so the life of titanium baths is 5-7 times longer than steel. High corrosion resistance and physical-mechanical characteristics of titanium allow reducing the thickness of bath walls more than 2 times. The product is designed for chrome plating of metals. A complex laser cutting was used in the manufacturing process, as the metal allowances were very small. The titanium body was then formed by laser welding and the welds were x-rayed. Spot argon arc welding was used for the final quality control of the welds.
Small architectural form "Cube" in Moscow
The sculpture, which architect Stanton Williams proposed for the outdoor space is designed to add something special, to strengthen and enrich the individuality of the public area. Design documentation was created for the project, dimensions of elements were verified, details of production and created specifications for fabrication and installation, fixing to the underground structures of the connections. Laser cutting and metal bending, welding was used in the manufacture. The cutting process was carried out on CNC machines.
Sculptural composition "Football Players"
Sculptural composition "Football players" near Yekaterinburg Arena, as well as in central districts of the city. Created at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. On these objects of landscape architecture we used laser cutting and welding of large elements in the places of drawings and bends, which made the seams almost imperceptible. And the high precision of machining and the localized effect of the laser allowed us to maintain the strength of the metal and make perforations of complex shapes on the two parallel facades of the figures.
